Tough Times and Why They Don't Matter in the Grand Scheme

Yesterday I had an enlightening conversation with several of my business mentors, who reminded me that tough times are only temporary, and that it's the strong and resilient ones who come out on the other side ahead. I would have to say that the past year has brought some significant changes in my life--and some of them haven't been easy to swallow, at least not in the moment. But the beautiful thing is that once you survive the changes and make a real action plan to move into something better, the Universe begins to assist you in immeasurable ways. It rushes to assist those who are willing to accept those things that they cannot change while also taking steps to move forward. I have been blessed in countless ways: I have a wonderful and bright son; I have a big family that supports one another; I have good health that allows me to practice the martial arts and play with my son; I have a roof over my head and clothes on my back and my son's; I have two of my very own growing businesses; I have a strong desire to achieve my dreams and the wisdom to know that I must not listen to the naysayers who attempt to steal them from me.

My challenge for you today is to think long and hard about what your dreams are. What are you doing to achieve them? If you keep doing what you are doing now, will you ever achieve them? Will your current financial and emotional state allow you to bust through whatever barriers stand in your way in order to get what you want out of life? Or are you content to accept the status quo? When I started building a business team in the first part of the year, I immediately began reading and educating myself to change my mindset. I set aside all excuses like "I don't have the time," or "I don't think I can do it," or whatever the case may be. Excuses are like diseases because once you have one, it's difficult to shake. But the real panacea is taking appropriate actions to set aside excuses and get everything that you have ever wanted.

Thank you, Kim! I checked out your blog...love what you are doing. I live in SoCal and I enjoyed learnin about the family in Pasadena. It's no small wonder why things like cancer are so much more prevalent today than years ago due to the unsafe farming practices. Keep up the great work!
